WHY WE FUNDRAISE

We think it's important for everyone to understand why we raise money for the the Armstrong and Bradfield kindergarten and first grade classes. 


More than 70% of the school district's property tax dollars go to schools outside the Highland Park district. One of the biggest reasons why HPISD continues to be an exemplary district making the Park Cities such an attractive place to live is because of fundraising efforts like those of the ABPA. With statewide budget cuts and record enrollment with limited resources, our fundraising efforts are of paramount importance. 

The first dollars that the schools receive help with teacher salaries. Additional dollars, such as those from the ABPA, help with instructional materials, books, technology, math manipulatives and teacher workshops. 

Simply said, our schools need our help. 

We have two big fund raising events - "Homes for the Holidays Home Tour" and our Auction. Our auction occurs at our Fall Dinner/After Party in October and the Home Tour is the first Friday of December from 9am-1pm.
